Hard to tell since it only shows snow. Possibly 2-3 inches. Just west of the Metroplex higher amounts. But thats probably ontop of sleet.

Sweeet! Looks like most of us metroplexers should be at or below 32F within a few hours... That freezing line sure has been stubborn in making its way to the east and south. Seemed like it stalled and even appeared to back up there for an hour or so... It is currently 33 deg here at SMU just north of downtown.

Hmm.. Wind has gone from N to NW in Denton and Meacham and appears to be stronger. Look what happened to temps when that occurred!! Looks like there was a "tertiary" front as someone above alluded to... and it's dropping SE.

28 in Ft. Worth now.

I have sleet now and none too soon - that was the thickest freezing rain I've ever seen and if it would have lasted very long, I would have had serious tree problems. Hopefully better with the sleet downpour. Sleet - the dipping dots of the precipitation world.

Changeover to snow is occuring in Paradise as we speak. Big flakes and lots of wind.

Throw the models out the window. I know I mentioned the HRRR but it's now playing catch up. None of the models handling this correct.

By the way, 20 to 30 mph wind strips any radiant heating quickly - I have ice right up to my back door on the concrete pool decking and my pool was close to 50 degrees yesterday. It normally doesn't freeze up that close.
