For those that questioned me about the SSWward backbuilding that would affect SA, do you believe me now???

That's a great comparison, very light and fluffy and piles up fast.

Is all that snow on the picture just from tonight?

The snow around San Angelo is not wrap around. That is the right quadrant of the upper level low. You can see the wrap around on the Texas/New Mexico Border. Looking at Water Vapor Loop The low has been moving more NE than East at this time.. and a little slower.. I am in Del Rio, and we have had some bouts with light snow this evening. Also we are at 27 degrees and it has not fallen since this afternoon so we are already experiencing air mass modification. If you also look at at satellite pictures most of the upward motion has been over western and central Texas. What everyone east and south of there seem to be getting is the warm advection type drizzle, sleet, and a few flurries. Models say this should change, but I really have my doubts. That is just my take. Like everything else southern and southeast Texas are always on the borderline so it could go either way.

A nice band of maybe snow? is starting to develop in the Hill country looks similar to a squall line moving towards San Antonio and Austin.

A car drove by and it didn't melt a single thing off the pavement lol this is amazing. I've never seen something like that here. Got almost an inch here slightly east of DFW airport.

Thanks for pointing that out. You are right. That's actually even more amazing to learn that what's in San Angelo is not wraparound.

It is really coming down with giant flakes in Addison just north of 635 on Midway.

I am standing by here in Denton still. Radar looks good but nothing failling as of yet. Glad to hear others are getting snow.

That's what I've been saying; this looks like a squall line. I literally said that hours ago. :D

Based on reports, I'm thinking 4 inches might be conservative and how it's sticking...

I'd say half mile to 3/4 visibility atm.

I can't express to you how much I enjoy weather. My neighbors have to think I'm crazy roaming around taking videos and pictures.

Just checked and we have about an inch and a half here so far.

If that happens, the "bust" that people were talking about earlier today will boomerang in the other direction.

Not sure anybody saw 4"+ coming anywhere in North Texas...

Look at this map... The precipitation in Houston is traveling a completely different direction than the precipitation just 75 miles nw of there. I think this is because the ULL is causing the precipitation to the north, and the drizzle around houston is being caused by the same thing that caused it all day. So what my overall conclusion is, is that the ULL low has not yet made its affects felt in Houston, so it may not be a complete bust?

Thoughts?
