Amazing I'd never thought peeps would be so sad over missing what I'm soooooooo sick of (it's been here for over 70 days now and I don't think the snow is ever gonna go)......I've duct taped the broken blades on my fans and have given them a swift kick so hopefully the :cold: air will get really far down there *still struggling to get them turned south however (right now they are bound and determined to freeze Nick and his :grrr: Als :grr: in Montreal).

I met Conlee a few months ago...but Schumacher doesn't ring a bell...

Here's a snowfall map from weather.com

Doesn't look good for Dallas, or me either. It's showing less than a trace for me when models have been showing at least 2".

Weather channel is no good imo. Back in the old days it was better, but other than getting some live shots and on site broadcasting, I wouldn't bother using it. Last year while there was 10" on the ground, the local forecast on TWC had 1-2 inches storm total for the day lol.

Lol what a joke, I dont know where theyre getting that from. Id normally think the gfs but thats showing good several inches across the dfw areas.

PS: I like how theres a tiny little dot of 6-12 inches on little rock arkansas, but nowhere else surrounding it. Good luck getting that one right...

Lol I agree. I also think they give more love to the north, but I hardly ever trust their forecast at all.

NAM still holding strong on an Oklahoma/Arkansas solution with a dusting-1 inch for DFW! At least it's better than previous runs keeping all of it way up north.

It does look like it went a tad bit further south, though.

If you turn those fans South again I am personally gonna come up there and turn them back around myself!!! Enough is enough!! Yes I would like a nice smoked gouda with my whine!!! Honestly, I do not understand how people live and function in that weather.

Well actually weather.com is way better than all the other sites. IMO They were right on with the 18-24 inches in chicago. TWC also has a good live coverage. Im sorry for flying off topic but I had to throw my 2cents in their. Who knows their snow map could be right?

Weather.gov should be top priority. They have interest in saving lives and making as best a forecast for the interest of the public. Weather channel does good by letting people know things, but their interest is to make money. They have been wrong about EVERY snowstorm in DFW the past 2 years going out beyond 24 hours (usually way under doing numbers).

weather.gov was wrong with the coastal carolina blizzard and didn't issue a wsw until the last second. Weather.com at least had snow in the forecast.

I don't keep track of weather.com elsewhere. They may very well be good for bigger markets to the east/north. As far as Texas goes, they stink. Last Friday they forecast 1-3 inches for Houston and flurries for Dallas. Dallas got 3-8 and Houston nothing.

eh, a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then...and raw model output sometimes gets it right. Just, you know, not that often. Considering there isnt actually a person who makes the forecast, on average its not likely to be very reliable.
