No changes, still the same.

HRRR is correcting itself still and now seeing a heavy batch of precip later in the run

How far south will the heavy band of precip, out west, make it?
Will it hit Dallas?

West Forth Worth areas are already in the upper 20s! According to some weather bug stations i'm looking at. Unbelievable.

Well if we got rain tomorrow...it'd be a freezing rain with temps in the low 20s to teens. So I guess your forecast is for a big ice storm?

Latest one is updating, but the one before that kept creeping that snow line further south.

Oh, okay. I had trouble reading your sentence thing a ma jing. So just cold and tomorrow and rain for now, gotcha.

and no problem! Well pretty much every model shows more than you are predicting for us, so I guess that is some evidence. Also temps fall below freezing lightning quick behind the front. Anything falling from the sky after the cold front comes will likely be freezing rain in a matter of 30-45 minutes after the front passes.

The snow should develop shortly as the upper level trough moves towards the area from the west. Forecast is still on track.

Is it possible for the northern counties of DFW to experience whiteout conditions with this wind?

HRRR is looking about the same as the last run, but I think it's still having problems. I'd just watch the radar from here on out and wait for it to pop up!

I'm going to welcome in the cold front. I'll report back when/if things get interesting.

With the thin layer of ice forming on area roadways, temps plummeting in the lowers 20's, and blowing snow about to start flying, this is a recipe for a lot of problems across the metroplex later this morning.
