Sounds like our conditions are pretty similar to those in Richardson. The sleet has kept me awake for a while now, I'd rather have quiet snow. :cheesy: The wind is wailing out there!

Sleet/freezing rain coming down with a temp. Of 14 degrees on the westside of Fort Worth now. Unbelievable!!!

If this front isn't bringing the precip it's certainly bringing the chill. Wow, what a howler. NWS says 14F by noon and 10F tomorrow a.m. at DFW - shattering the daily record.

60's begin Saturday through the extended...

Looks like all the major districts are closed except Plano, no word yet lol

Correction, Plano is now closed as well.

I thought that the dry slot would save us from getting freezing rain/sleet... boy was I wrong. The band coming through right now is going to cause some major headaches.

Is the HRRR still showing some heavier bands later in the day?

HRRR has a few bands developing over the metroplex but at this point just keep track of the radar. The stuff just to the NW might pivot over us later.

sleet has been going on for about 30 minutes just south of DFW intl... with a temp of 20.
Been trying to post that for 30 minutes now..computer and internet acting up
very slick out there on sidewalks and parking lot.

Here in Taylor the temperature has 12 dropped degrees in 30 minutes.

44 degrees at 5:45 am
32 degrees at 6:15 am
