I will be driving down to the San Antonio area tomorrow from Dallas. Will this still be a treacherous drive with temperatures below freezing?

Well, at the moment I think I will be getting a trace to .50". If I do get .50", this will add to a total of 3" this year. This year felt pretty snowy, but that's only 1" more then the average snowfall.

Yes...all this precip will freeze on overpasses on the west/nw sides...and spread east with time.

Does TAMU have a lot of students who commute? If it's mostly on-campus residences then students could walk (like penguins) to class. SMU is the only college in DFW that is open, probably for that reason.
Moderate sleet/snow mix falling here now. It's strange to see sleet at 17 degrees. This is one extremely shallow airmass - thank God it isn't freezing rain!

No TAMU has a lot of people who live off-campus. I do and I am currently riding a bus to campus as I always do because it would be a 30 min walk. That's why I'm surprised that classes havnt been canceled with freezing drizzle here currently.

Today is bittersweet for me. I'm happy to see the snow and ice, regardless of how miniscule some people think it is. It makes me sad to think this will be the last event of the season. Do any of you think after our two week warm-up, the pattern might change again? Is there any indications that might happen, or is this truly "it"?
