NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA
555 PM EST MON FEB 28 2011

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
DOUGLAS COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA
SOUTHWESTERN FULTON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 630 PM EST

* AT 550 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NORTHWEST OF
CHATTAHOOCHEE HILLS...MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
FAIRBURN...UNION CITY...HAPEVILLE...EAST POINT AND COLLEGE PARK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

WHEN A TORNADO WARNING IS ISSUED BASED ON DOPPLER RADAR...IT MEANS
THAT STRONG ROTATION HAS BEEN DETECTED IN THE STORM. A TORNADO MAY
ALREADY BE ON THE GROUND...OR IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP SHORTLY. IF YOU
ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS DANGEROUS STORM...MOVE INDOORS AND TO A
BASEMENT OR INTERIOR ROOM ON THE GROUND FLOOR. STAY AWAY FROM
WINDOWS. IF DRIVING...DO NOT SEEK SHELTER UNDER A HIGHWAY OVERPASS.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. THIS
STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING STRONG TO VIOLENT TORNADOES. IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY!


DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A TORNADO. CARS ARE EASILY
TOSSED AROUND BY TORNADO WINDS. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE PATH OF A
TORNADO...LEAVE THE CAR AND GO TO A STRONG BUILDING. IF NO SAFE
STRUCTURE IS NEARBY...SEEK SHELTER IN A DITCH OR LOW SPOT AND COVER

UUUUUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmm... is this going to weaken before it makes it here because i was not expecting night time storms and tornado warnings in Georgia. :eek: I get scared of power outages at night and thunder and that line looks intense.

Damaging winds could certainly still be an issue when it approaches the coast...

Here it goes... exactly what I was taliking about on that other thread. Fortunately its weakening and the squall line will likely weaken to when it arrives. Im safe from everything :D :D I bet that this storm :D :D will be a shower about time it arrives.......... I won the bet the storm is gone lol XD who am I talkikng too :oops:

The weakening has nothing to do with you. It is called it is losing the heat of day due to darkness.

I am just saying that I know I cant control a storm lol. what about the storms yesterday night, they didn't weaken they got stronger, its because I live near the coast. Ill be back at 1000 o clock to see what happens. :D
