Hate to tell you this, but that wouldn't stop a storm from hitting Georgia.

LOl yes it will all extreme weather likes to avoid wherever I am. The severest weather I have seen was a strong pop up summer thunderstorm that had a severe thunderstorm warning. I haven't never seen hail, funnelclouds, blizzards, icestorms, hurricnes and tropical storms, flooding, firestorms and the rest. The most damage I have seen is a power outage. :D :D :D :D

When you joined, you had Pensacola as one of your locations. Yet you say you never experienced even a tropical storm?

Thats different lol I was a kid and didn't even know what a tropical storm was when i was 2 years old. In Louisville, MS as soon as i left there... lets remember the yazoo city Tornado which killed 4 of my family members. I know its kind of sad but I should have stayed and the tornado would have avoided us lol. Psychic powers or coincidences? In illinois somehow a 12inch snowstorm that was predicted day before turned into a rain event all because it was 35 degrees not 32.

:uarrow: So far you say you have lived in Louisville, MS, Waycross, GA, St. Mary's, GA, Savannah, GA, Pensacola, FL and I think some other places I can't remember and yet you say you have never experienced severe weather? That is almost impossible if you have lived in all these places. :?: :?:

I don't think I would be joking around about 4 of my family members getting killed, but you do. I am sure you have experienced some type of severe weather with all those places you lived at. But were getting off topic here :D

Florida hasn't had a hurricane since Wilma so its been over 5 years. Long gaps between hurricanes tend to be unkind to Florida. So I'm a thinking Florida may get something.
1. 1956 Hurricane Flossy- 4 years later- 1960 Hurricane Donna.
2. 1960 Hurricane Donna- 4 years later- 1964 Hurricanes Cleo, Dora and Isbell.
3. 1979 Hurricane David- 6 years later- 1985- Hurricanes Elena (almost), Juan (remnants) and Kate.
4. 1987 Hurricane Floyd- 5 years later- 1992- Hurricane Andrew
5. 1999 Hurricane Irene- 5 years later- 2004 - Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan (close enough) and Jeanne.

And a few examples above.

Ouch. 2011 is 6 years, so if were not hit this year would it be a 7 year record? The fact that the season will be neutral for some reason is scary. Its really a fact of when not where.

9 years and about 2 months is the record. Between Hurricane #5 which hit Florida Aug. 31st 1856 and Hurricane #7 which hit the state on October 23rd 1865. Florida felt the effects of some storms from 1859-1861 but no direct landfalls or anything significant. Given the lack of data from back then it seems unlikely Florida could have gone 9 years without a direct hurricane landfall but no way of telling for sure.

Correction Louisville Savannah Pensacola and Carol Stream.I have experienced severe weather, I mean like the severe severe weather like hail and blizzards and tornadoes and hurricanes where damage is involved and where the stuff is remembered. like -18 with a WC of -40 in carol stream,IL and they saw like 22.5 inches during that February blizzard 2011. It wouldve been a snow fail.

Rachel is in use in the Eastern Pacific on List 6 and an alternate spelling of Rebecca (Rebekah) is on List 5 in the Atlantic. But yeah they more or less changed a single letter and called it good.

I'm kinda wishing Arlene would do something and get retired. 9 times its been used. Though when I think of the name Arlene I always think of that pink cat from the Garfield comics and wonder to myself how could Arlene possibly do anything significant.

Plus, the A names get boring after awhile.

ANY of these names would be awesome:

Avril
Ashlee/Ashley
Amber
Arniesa
Ariannna
Ariel
Angela
Angelica
Angelina

etc.

Don't know why but have a feeling the East Coast will see a lot of activity.
