I'm going to make a suggestion here. We have probably 2000 active or somewhat active members who post out of the over 10000 members we have. If every one of those "active" members donated just $10 that would be $20K in the bank to keep us up and running for a long time. If each one of those "active" members donated just $5 that would be $10K that would keep us going for at least a couple of years. We know that times are hard for many, but if you would like the resources of STORM2K to continue to be available to you in the future we need a lot of people to step up and give us a donation. This site is run SOLEY on donations. We have no other source of funds. None of the staff is paid. Those are the facts. Will you please help us? EVERY donation helps, no matter what size it is. Mine is on the way.

I was thinking about all the hours I've spent reading everyone's posts, following links, looking at satellite pics and buoy data, watching webcams, and just generally procrastinating while enormous weather systems spun up and fizzled out. With that in mind, $50 was a bargain. Glad to help.

just to update everyone. Our current balance is $1,764.00. (May's bill was just paid) That will carry us through Jan 2012 so we only need $1,095 to get us through June of next year. Historically that's when we run our annual findraiser. Thanks to everyone that's contributed to this year's effort!
