As we are aproaching the peak of the season the atlantic is responding nicely to that as now we have apart from the open wave in hispanola two tropical waves both with low pressures one at the mid atlantic 1010 mbs and the other 1009 mbs in the east atlantic that with time may develop so let's watch those 2 systems and see if we will use the charts soon.
There are 2 waves with lows in tropical atlantic to watch

It shows a nice circulation there as those barbs indicate.

Cycloneye: These waves may indeed have a
very good chance at developing. For one thing,
they are making foward progress between 15 - to
20 MPH towards the west and good vertical
stacking may result because of apparent low shear.
The rotation on the wave around 11 / 50 west is
quite vigorous and indeed warrants attention. In the
long run, it may affect our neck of the woods.
Although it's pure spec. I have a feeling that
the Atlantic basin has started to ramp up after
this past Wednesday, the 20th and done so in a
dramatic way. The wave train over Africa is
significant and quite strong.
I definitely believe Fabian is not going to be wavy
as MW refered to, but the wave around 50 W.

Agree slprofe57 about that wave at 50w it has a chance to develop as it is entering more warmer waters and dont discount the wave SW of the CV islands because it has a nice circulation as quickScat shows as another poster brought it in another thread.

Well said Cycloneye. The wave southwest of the
CV appears to show extremely interesting
dinamics. In fact, just prior to making an exit from
the continent, there was a significant pressure drop
in Dakar. Furthermore, It appears to be holding
quite well. Also, the moisture field is very extensive
although covective structure is somewhat limited but growing. If it develops with this current envolope, it could be a biggie. Remember Donna
back in 1960? That was a nightmare! Although
she was headed to do a number on us here in
Puerto Rico, she gave a last minute sidestep
and missed our island by a margin of 75 to 90
miles to the northeast of Fajardo. Squalls reached
around 40 MPH however she was BIG and the rain
was torrential. That is why Your comment on this
wave is quite accurate.

But now I am posting about those 2 waves and they are looking good especially the one SW of the cape verde islands that has gained convection near the low center at 10n so let's watch these features and see if Fabian and Grace will come out from them.
