Best Wave Signature So Far?

#1 Postby Tip » Sun Aug 24, 2003 8:30 am

If this one doesn't develop, there is something capping the Atlantic CV season. Click on the center box in the global pic.

That is one nice looking system. You are right if this one does not make it I doubt anything will. And I thought August was going to be nuts with activity. Guess you never know.

The best wave best organized so far in the atlantic SW of the cape verde islands I see it develop into TD#10 in a couple of days. But if it does not do so then we wont see nothing from there but I think that this one has all the potential.

The wave poised to come off of Africa is picked up on the GFS (what's new?) but is very bullish on, the Canadian, NOGAPS to some degree, UKMET, and the ECMWF ... FWIW and IMO, I like this one's chances.

The 06zGFS likes this closed low emerging from Africa tomorrow and holds on to it through 300hrs. Looks like it is in good position at 252hrs http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod ... p_252s.gif. I won't get into the final GFS scenario because it's so far in the future, but if you have to take a peek for curiousity sake-----
