5/22/11 at 2:05 AM EDT It appears the journey will end very soon.

...TROPICAL WAVES...

THE TROPICAL WAVE THAT HAS BEEN MOVING THROUGH VENEZUELA NOW IS
ALONG 71W/72W TO THE SOUTH OF LAKE MARACAIBO...FROM VENEZUELA
INTO COLOMBIA. STRONG RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE IN
COLOMBIA ABOUT 100 NM TO THE SOUTH OF THE VENEZUELA BORDER NEAR
5N71W. IT IS NOT EASY TO DISCERN THE WAVE SOLELY FROM SATELLITE
IMAGERY. SURFACE OBSERVATIONS DO NOT HELP MUCH EITHER. IT IS
POSSIBLE THAT THIS WAVE MAY BE ELIMINATED FROM THE 22/0600 UTC
MAP ANALYSIS.

It has been dropped.

THE 71W/72W TROPICAL WAVE FROM THE 22/0000 UTC ANALYSIS
WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE 22/0600 UTC ANALYSIS. WE WILL REPORT
ABOUT THIS WAVE AGAIN IF AND WHEN MORE DATA ARE AVAILABLE
IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO LOCATE IT.

Is this wave connected to the convection near 15N 75W in the Caribbean?
