Lazy Summer Days

#1 Postby wx247 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:30 pm

Since the heat is on in a big way across much of the US, I thought I would ask you what ways you like to spend a lazy summer day? For me, when they happen are rare, but I enjoy swimming in our pool.

I'm not a water person. I like to just stay inside during the day and then sit outside in the evenings. I read, play on the computer, weed. Just simple things, nothing strenuous.

If I had a pool I would be in it most of the time. Since I don't, I'm inside in the air conditioning, on the computer, watching the TV, being lazy(since you said a lazy summer day).

S2K is a great way to spend a lazy summer day if there is a severe weather event or tropical system to watch! :)

I'm mostly on computer in S2K. I play video games and have basketball practices in the afternoon.

Love being outside in the pool, with a cold one in hand and cooking and eating dinner outside. We do a lot of that in the summer, we use our grill about 70% of the time for dinner this time of year. Also we do beach and spring trips. Tomorrow we are heading out to Wekiva Falls which is a spring with a slide for the kids, its not too well known yet, which is almost unheard of here in Orlando so it will be a rather relaxing day in sun with that ice cold water to float in. If Im not in some sort of water I like to piddle in my garden, I have about 12 tomatoes going now and a lot of other landscape to tend to. If you can't tell summer is my favorite time of year.

On the weekends I just do gardening and drink chardonnay. LOL If it's really hot and humid, I stay inside and putter......oh, and drink chardonnay.

As I do every weekend - a long (3-5 hour) bike ride, lunch at Discovery Green park downtown then back to the house, passing thru Hermann Park along the way. Sometimes we bike down to Miller Theater at Hermann Park for outdoor concerts in the evening. Last Saturday there was a great band playing Led Zeppelin albums II and IV there.
