I'd much rather have a system that lets guilty people off instead of convicts a high number of innocents. Still surprised. Thought it was a slam dunk.

She has been in Jail for 3 years....MAX sentance for lying is 4 years....She will be home Friday Night watch! and the party girl she is she will be in downtown orlando partying!

Personally I'm not surprised about the not guilty on the 1st degree murder charge. As much as I think she killed her daughter, I don't think there was enough evidence to convict. We'll probably never know what really happened but I have faith she'll have to answer to the ultimate judge sooner or later. I thought they would come back with manslaughter and child abuse though so that did surprise me a bit. With the maximum punishment of 1 year for each of the lying to the police charges I'll be surprised if she serves any additional time. At best case I think she'll get 12 months.

But do you have proof beyond a reasonable doubt? Evidently the prosecution didn't prove that and that's what the jury has to look for. America had Casey Anthony found guilty before her trial. Now, I'm not saying she's not guilty...but if she is then the only important judgement day lies ahead of her when she faces her God.
