Texas Winter 2011-2012...
Ok, I'm sick of this triple digit heat.
When is it going to snow next here in North Texas?!?

Seriously, anybody heard anything from Joe B or others hinting about what type of winter we might have waiting on us in a few months?

All this talk of winter weather is depressing. I'm already sad that the days are starting to get shorter. Let's enjoy the heat while it lasts!

Hey wxman57, do you realize that in just a little more than four months, we'll be discussing and tracking polar fronts?! Isn't that great?!

Re: Texas Winter 2011-2012...
Well, no offense Luis but we in Texas hope that forecast doesn't verify!
I have seen the CFS forecast for Nina to return this winter but the aggregate numbers appear to show a less pronounced Nina this winter as compared to what we have been through in the last 12 months.
I also know that those CFS forecasts aren't always the most accurate so we'll continue to hope for ENSO neutral to Nino conditions!

This just in....
Due to the 100 degree weather the ground will be too warm for any snow to stick during the upcoming winter.
Winter canceled.
