ATL: CINDY - Remnants - Discussion

Why is this not a subtropical/tropical cyclone? Closed circulation and convection is near/over the center. Meets all the characteristics at least that I know of. It would be kind of funny if this does get named, that two of the first three storms come from the same front :lol:

In 2002, Bertha and Cristobal formed from the same frontal system ... in 2006, Beryl and an unnamed storm also formed form the same system ... seems to be a common occurrence

Hmm I was unaware of that, but even still, I don't know if I would call a one if four year or five year event a common occurrence. More common than I thought, but pretty special I think.

This was before deeper convection started developing closer to the LLC.

Also, Gaston and Hermine formed from the same frontal system.

We'll see what the NHC does with this in the next hour or so, it'll probably come before they update Dora or Bret I think

Doesnt appear their going to upgrade...probably a copy paste at 2pm

If they don't upgrade it soon they'll probably lose it. But hopefully it will show up in the post-season analysis regardless.

If it can stay organized, we could be seeing Sutropical Storm Cindy or Subtropical Depression Three at 2pm.

There not going to upgrade it unless its detaches from the front, which it probably wont in the time it has

Short lived and not really tropical. Going nowhere, affecting no one.

Let's not waste a name on it.

Beware of pouch PO7L though. That is the one to watch.

I am in total disagreement with that graphics. By no means it is attached to a frontal boundary this morning.

I am shocked that it did not get upgraded yet, but like I said earler this morning, the NHC acts more conservative when a system poses no threat to land masses.

I also think it should be upgraded, but its only got maybe 24hours or so. The NHC just has to decide when it is no longer apart of a front; when they do that, it'll be a ST/TD. Thats what they did with Bret

I dont know about this one...really its all on whether the NHC thinks its a independent system or not. Thats all this is based on is the NHC
