yeah it looks very good, but most storms that form this far out in the eastern atlantic are fish.

Not if you like the "thrill" of it. If they are fish right off the bat they are not that exciting, plus we've seen that a lot these past two years, some of us would like a change.

Basically you are right, but I'll ask you about the thrill again when a major is throwing debris at your front door.

But let's stick back to the topic.

That might be true, but what's so impressive to me is the fact that we have these strong waves rolling off Africa and it's only late July/Early August.
I can't even imagine what the activity might look like come late August and early September. The USA is not going to get lucky two years in a row when it comes to landfalls. That would be one heck of a fluke if that did happen....So we should enjoy any storms recurving while we still can!...
But it does look like if Emily forms that the 'F' storm shouldn't be too far behind it.....

Amusement parks are for thrills.
Hurricanes kill and I'd be just fine if we never saw another landfall.

Its got the look of some of the E.Atlantic systems that formed last year. Think it has a shot if it survives for a little while yet.

Yea, it's pretty much dead for now.
When will I learn that most of what rolls off of Africa this time of year, dies..... lol... Well, come Mid August to September that shouldn't be the case.

The ITCZ is pretty active and far north around the wave axis. Lots of SAL north of the wave though, probably one of the last big outbreaks of the summer.

Not going to do anything soon, but I'm definitely going to be keeping a close watch on it as it nears the Caribbean and the dust starts to thin out. Something to keep an eye on for sure.

The wave in the central Atlantic doesnt look bad at all, imo. I believe you can see a small rotation with the visible satellite.
