Wow! This is kind of weird...Seems calm, but we still get an occasional loud gust...but nothing like we were. I thought eyes were more calm than this, but hey - I always wanted to experience this. I did run outside to fetch our welcome mat. We remembered to bring in everything else but somehow forgot it. It was at the neighbor's house several doors down.

Re: WPAC: MUIFA (Kabayan) - Typhoon
Well, I got chased back inside by a big gust and seems like it doesn't plan on stopping...Maybe that was the eyewall? We aren't looking at a storm with a history of a well-defined eyewall so the tales we hear about the center of the storm probably aren't storybook in this scenerio. That was interesting nonetheless. And I got to go outside and stretch my legs!

COOL! That must have been the one that chased my happy butt back indoors! I think my husband got a kick out of seeing me run in the door like a bat out of hell.

Wow! How do you do it? You must have been running on pure adrenaline (and canned coffee!). It was pretty intense this morning and probably even more so the closer you get to the southern tip. I can only imagine. Did you happen to experience the eyewall down there?

The coffee helps!

There were times when it was what I'd guess cat. 1 eyewall conditions but it was on and off. When it was howling though it was wild. I was right on the waterfront facing the easterly winds!
BTW we're about to enter eye of Muifa, pressure plummeting so much I can feel it in my ears. Down to 957.9 in Naha now! This afternoon could be really wild as second half passes through. I'm tired and will probably film second half in Naha - can't be bothered driving anywhere!
