A minute ago, I checked the NHC homepage and there's a yellow (low prob) patch right off the east coast of central Florida. Then I ran a IR loop of the gulf, and saw the blob you're talking about, off the west coast. Yikes, what's happening around Florida?

I was going to ask about this as well. I wasn't paying attention on Monday, but this is the second day in a row that I noticed this occurance in the exact same region. Any pro mets out there who can share the "whys" and "how comes" with us?

Very low chance of anything coming from it, I assume?

Lots of rain, thunder and lightning of the central left coast this week... Kept temps low, though

I'm near Gainseville, and in the last four days, we also got some much needed rain, about 2", thank goodness. But it's remained oppressively hot and humid. I can't help but think about getting a hurricane, and having to live without A/C for days or weeks. It would be no fun.

And heating your food outside on a fire or with a portable stove, drinking water out of your bathtub, wondering how many more roaches and spiders will crawl through that hole in the wall...yeah no fun

That yellow low probability patch on the NHC homepage, now encompasses both coasts well into the atlantic and the gulf. It covers a pretty large area.

Not sure if this is still the right thread for the area mentioned in the TWO.
Anyway, code orange at 8 AM:

3. SHOWER ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH A WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED
ABOUT 160 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF BERMUDA HAS CONTINUED TO BECOME A
LITTLE BETTER ORGANIZED. SOME ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE
DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO BEFORE THIS DISTURBANCE MERGES WITH A
FRONTAL SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30 PERCENT...OF
BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES
NORTHEASTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH.
