Latest IR VIS loop showing a very good structure, convection is gradually on the increase
The circulation envelope is very large engulfing most of the West-Central MDR...and as far north as 28N....

I would agree with that Vortex. I think we are in for some long days and nights over the weekend. I normally wouldn't make a prediction this far out but with almost ALL of the reliable models pointing in our direction I am going to say that we are going to feel some interaction from this one way or another. The question is how strong???

This one definitely spells trouble and yeah this could be one of those giant systems.

Well now I'm abit happier...always feel better to watch an invest for some odd reason!
Going to be one of the most interesting systems to watch in the last few years given what the models are doing with it.
If it can avboided getting put on a spike by hispaniola (aka...Emily) we will have a MAJOR issue on our hands...

Looks like Irene in the making. Should be an interesting 7 to 10 days ahead of us.
I know Florida has dealt with Irene in the past, but this time it may be alot different.

Yeah, this is going to be a wild and very interesting next 10 days or so for everyone tracking this system to say the least. I was actually kidding a couple of days ago about this getting to be a 300+ page thread. Well, after thinking about it further, I think it is pretty much a guarantee we will get that and more!
