Yep into Caribbean it goes, where conditions will likely be very good for strengthening...

Very close to the ECM as well at the moment, and pretty close to the 12z as well to be fair.

Man I can't believe how similar the GFS and Euro are right now for 7 days away. It's kinda scary. Still a long time away though.

not really seeing that weakness being all that much, if anything the upper high is starting to restrengthen thanks to the development of the Bermuda high...

Massive difference with the upper high over Texas, much stronger, upper trough to the north much weaker...

Could go much further west this run...like La/TX west...

Yep, looks similar to the 12z ECM at this point as you've said, not a good trend for the gulf.

How can some say they see a weakness and others see a high building in?

I think they mean the high building in from the Atlantic, but there is a weakness they can see. I don't think they are exclusive.

Also, note howe 100 miles further south could make the difference between a track over Cuba and a track along the Caribbean waters to the south of Cuba, would lead to a considerable strength difference by 180hrs.

That is getting well into those very warm Gulf waters. This should bomb out in the next few frames.
