Hmmmm.........

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Still looks OK to me. I have not heard that this storm is encountering major difficulties.

without the updated quikscat data, one cant know what's what. that data is just a snapshot in time and doesnt reflect what you see in the other more current IR and visual loops. that's my point.

I agree that TD #10 will probably be upgraded to a tropical storm soon, but that development for it will take time as well.

And no, I don't expect any Category 5 hurricanes out of it. *coughGreatOnecough*

LOL! Looks like the latest incarnation of "Great One". Heck, I shouldn't laugh; he knows more about tropical meteorology than me.

Yes. If I'm correct, he likes to claim he is Joe Bastardi and even his avatar at the TWC boards, also if I'm correct (Correct if I'm wrong though) is indeed of JB!

He also always predicts every hopeless and disorganized system to become a major hurricane, usually Category 5.

Well, at least it seems that way. I feel sorry for him and wish he would grow up and treat people better.

I wonder if he's also the one who has this board: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Joe_Bastardi/

Someone sent that to me since I'm on Yahoo groups for Galveston, entertainment, and screenwriting. They thought I might want a weather one. I checked it out but there's not much activity. I don't really think there are any decent Yahoo weather groups.

Besides, S2K rocks...so why bother with the others?

As the 5PM discussion talks about Fabian, the data and buoys aren't reporting significant winds in some quads due to the fact that Fabian is moving quite quickly west, and hence the winds on the south side are lighter. The north side either isn't close enuf or just bad data. Its presentation no doubt shows me 45 knot winds....'nuff said
