Given it's size and region where it is located I don't think a bigger one would occur, yet there will defiantly be some sort of aftershocks from it.

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 struck in northern Virginia, the U.S. Geological Survey said Tuesday.
The quake was felt in Washington, D.C., and as far away as North Carolina and New York, witnesses said. While all U.S. Capitol buildings were evacuated, there were no reports of injuries or damage.

very shallow for a quake that size..probably why it was felt all the way to Canada.....enough to jack with some foundations / basements I am sure.

Felt it here in NYC just east of Manhattan. Chairs shook and overhead lights swayed here in Long Island city, Queens. Have gotten calls that shaking was pretty strong in Manhattan.
