We seem to have a wide range of eventual landfalls for 94L with the ECMWF consistently saying Texas (and now near Corpus) and the GFS and others saying middle Louisiana coast.
Am curious what y'all think?

Any forecasts under my name are to be taken with a grain of salt. Get your best forecasts from the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center.
I've been trying my hardest to avoid saying this BUT that time has come.
Galveston/Houston is my target area. How strong I don't have a clue but as of now, it is already getting its act together. It look like it will be a big system regardless of what it becomes. I don't see a major hurricane at all but more on the lines of a tropical storm and possibly a strong one at that. Winds will be a minor factor but the rain will be the main player. I'd love to hear what anyone else has to say.

For now, I like the earlier European runs as far as landfall area - UT Coast possibly Sunday night or Labor Day morning. We need to have a LLC in order for 94l to develop. And when that development starts determines what type of shot it's got as far as intensification at landfall. If it goes, and assuming it hits Texas, it could be another famous eye-tightening from 18 hours out on into landfall. The bottom line is the front will bring a ton of rain with 94L moving up it through the SE. There should be enough weather for everyone in TX, LA, AR, MS, AL, TN, GA, SC and maybe NC to get at least some heavy rainfall out of it. Should the front hang further north, shift it up a state or two and include MO, KY.

*snicker* Took me a minute to figure out you meant upper Texas coast. It's football season and I wondered how in the world you could narrow the University of Texas down to just the coast.
