Fabian took a jog SW

Fabian took a slight jog to the WSW earlier today... and it appears as though it may still be heading ever so slightly south of west. This may sound like nothing however it could be big as to where this system crosses the benchmark and could have a great impact on its future track. I am going away for the weekend... be back Monday. DARN leaving just in time for the fun right lol? Well hopefully my forecast will still look good come Monday morning. And to anyone in the gulf, remember to keep an eye peeled on what is happening there, and stay safe and have a happy labor day weekend!

It certainly does not look like Fabian is going north any time soon. A more southerly track spells trouble for the northeastern Caribbean islands and eventually for the East Coast of the U.S.

Tropical systems briefly move WSW at times in the Atlantic on the southern side of Bermuda Highs. The longer these episodes occur the more interesting the model runs and ultimate track will be.
