Just looking at the obs on google earth, my opinion only nothing confirmed. By the way there is a new VDM 1000mb.

I thought earlier this afternoon Lee might have finally been getting his act together. Looked alright on visible sat. Now not so sure. Its big but hasn't fired any deep convection in quite some time, except a little just south of LA. The SW side looks to be drying up as the hours go by.

Look at the water Vapor Loop and watch what happens when and if that pacific moisture reaches Lee.
That moisture will have a tough time making it though.

True. Lots of dry air. But if Tailgater is right about the 1000 mb reading, then I think we are still seeing a storm that is slowly becoming better organized.

Someone upthread said the Euro is moving it a little more north. North rather than NE means we've got a tiny bit more of a chance to get an outer band. I'll take what I can get.
Going back to 1870, there were 5 October storms on Upper Texas Coast. So you do the math, it should happen every 28 years on average. If I recall, most droughts end or are dented from stalled out fronts or convective events.
