0z ECMWF keeps Lee right along the coast clear into the Panhandle of Florida, this would likely keep him TS much longer.

I'd call it blustery here in Beaumont this morning and misty. Feels pretty good! Sidewalks damp but no standing water anywhere so we didn't get much. Sun streaming under overcast sky. Guess it'll be a dim day when it gets higher in the sky.

Is this a possibility and what would the impact be?

The Perfect Storm?! Ok, not really, that was a complete different setup with Grace and an extratropical system blocked by a cold air ridge to the north.. Anyways back on topic.. I don't know what it would be like but I've always wanted to see a fujiwara situation in the atlantic basin..

I've measured 2.25" of rain since last night at my house in Lafayette due to Lee. The current track takes him right over me but there's really no convection at the center right now. If there's a large blowup of convection over us today it could get pretty nasty but so far Lee is just bringing a nice soaking to my area with winds under TS force.

Which apartments? I stayed in Fountainbleau for a couple years and I can remember the ditch behind it getting really high a couple times.

One thing to keep in mind with Lee is that it's not a typically-structured tropical storm. There are no heavy squalls near the center, and strongest winds are far-removed from the center out over the Gulf off the southeast LA coast. As it moves inland, the tropical storm force winds will remain offshore. They won't be around Lee's center. It's that band of squalls extending southward from southeast LA out across the Gulf that has the TS winds (over water).

Latest recon doesn't seem to be finding any surface evidence of 60 mph winds. Strongest winds in actual surface obs are way east near the mouth of the MS River - about 40-45 kts.

Same canal that wraps around that Winn Dixie? I've seen it flood E. Boyd before. Watch out for flash flooding in that area!

Latest NAM has leave pushing WSW from current location and then south as it intensifies into a hurricane!

I have been watching the rain creep north and west all morning into East Texas. It looks like the rain bands are spreading away from the center that looks exposed to me.

I know this isn't models thread (but that thread is dead) so check out the latest NAM at 54 hrs. Moves Lee WSW then south and intensifies into a hurricane as another piece of energy from LEE is heading up into the mid atlanta. Crazy.
