On another note.. pretty strong front moving through the Texas panhandle

Yeah, that cool air should be flowing to the coast late tomorrow or early Monday. If Lee is still hanging around then the cool dry air will flow right into Lee. But I think Lee will be moving off to the northeast by then. Have my sprinkler going for the past 4 hours watering about 1/3 of the back yard. I'm not counting on that rain reaching me just outside the SW loop of 610.

The NAM might have pulled it off....now that the GFDL is on board...Never thought I would say that about the NAM..but it might have set the trend....0Z GFS in a hour...lets see if it bites....that would really jack up the NHC forecasters....

PT, when does it show Lee start the move back south into the gulf? Think that would be a good starting place to watch for this to come to fruition. I know its drifting around wsw right now but anything more definitive.

Looks like the NAM starts the serious southward movement in about 21 hours from 00Z, which is 21Z Sunday, corresponding to about 5 PM eastern.

I've had a steady light rain here for about an hour now and the winds really picked-up as the rain moved-in. The rain is transporting some of the higher winds up above down to the surface. I'm glad it's raining but it's not amounting to much...and the band upstream is slowly falling apart.

To me it looks like the center is currently south of White Lake.

There is plenty of heat in the GOM for Lee to become a hurricane...the potential is there if he decides to follow the NAM...

I don't know where the crow is coming from. A number of models two days ago predicted a loop as being possible. Go back and look. The real southward movement however, was no where. I don't think a real south movement is going to happen. I do think the loop may be starting, with an eventual turn to the ENE/NE as the eventual final movement towards the mid coast of LA.
