It was Southerngale that posted the radar shot. I really don't know where its from. But also as I look at the time on top, it might not be up to date??? looks like it says 4:45 CDT. So what Cyclone posted (NHC Advisory) would reflect the current situation (on the coast). I just figured the radar shot would continue to be up to date (but its not). It shows the same old loop (from 4:45 CDT) over and over. So apparently Lee has moved onto the coast now (per NHC).

This is one strange storm... The latest WV Loop is really strange..

It has captured a piece of dry air... I'm not sure what it will do with it now.. It is coming close to cutting off more dry air..

I've never seen anything like that and I've been watching the storms for 35 years..

It does look like Thunderstorms will try and pick up some near the core of the system in the next few hours after a night off..

Lee's starting to look more frontal now. Cool, dry air is flowing off the TX coast across the NW Gulf into Lee. Dew points in the low 60s to the Texas coast. That rain band from southern MS to the NW Gulf looks more like a pre-frontal squall line.

TWC reporting that NO International Airport reported a wind gust of 55 mph a few minutes ago, sustained wind at 40 mph in that squall/feeder band.

I'm watching this feeder band over SE Lousiana rather curiously....I'm wondering if the band will advance eastward at a much faster rate (like a frontal squall line) or if it will act as the feeder bands did yesterday (train over the same locations over and over).

Meanwhile, the sun is trying to peek out over here, a temporary reprieve at best.

That was Lakefront airport with a 50kt (58 mph) wind gust from the south:

If you read back through the thread you'll see that some folks in east Texas did get some rain from Lee. It was unexpected, given the forecast.

Rain is over for us in Texas. The cooler, drier air has reached the coast. Enjoy the fall-like air, but forget about any more rain.

@wxman Will it stay like this (cool and dry) is this a pattern that has set in? It is not usually like this until mid October.

I got 6/10ths so far from Tropical Storm LEE... I won't have to worry about Forest Fires for at least 2 days now..

There is another band working into East Texas that might bring another .10 to .25 in the next few hours..

I've gave up thinking about drought relief... I just want enough rain to keep the fire damage at a medium level..

Just 30 inches below normal now...

Here is a radar link for maybe the last rain from Lee before the cool front arrives...
