Post your local conditions for the GOM system - curious to see what we see from the GOM.

RIght now I have dark skies - not raining yet.

Good Idea Ticka! Here in South Texas (Beeville)
Victoria Corpus Region we have some cloud cover not much at all and the sun is burning those clouds off quickly!

Just curious to see what kind of different conditions this system gives us all along the GOM. Since we won't see a major tropical system but a rainmaker - just like to read what everyone is getting. Its actually lightning up here some - so nothing yet on the east side of Houston (Baytown).

Blue skies here, although that may change later today. Supposed to go relax by the pool with some friends but I'm not sure we'll be doing that if things change in the next couple of hours.

West Houston is partly cloudy with a light East breeze and fluffy clouds moving E to W at 9:10am. Temp 83º, rh 84%, dp 78º, and barometer at 29.98 and rising(?).

Galleria area right now Sun is out... 87 Degrees Winds are out of the NE light .... Pressure at 29.99 steady. Radar Images showing Convection offshore ready to move inland.

Just had a shower band come thru Metairie LA.. nothing earth shattering, local mets still calling for 5-8 inches of rain over the extended weekend, we'll see!

Had a rainband come through around 10:30 a.m. and it rained hard for 15 mins and the wind kicked up some - then it was over and moved out and sun came out.

Looks like another band is head towards me - BTW I'm in Baytown - south of Interstate 10 and near Hwy 146.

Rain bands invade Louisiana

Hi Everybody! Those along the Gulf Coast, better keep those rain slickers handy especially in Tiger Stadium(can't bring umbrellas inside)! Here in Baton Rouge, we had a band come through around 12:30 CST. Unfortunately, I was putting my groceries in the trunk when the sky decided to fall. It was a long ride home because my groceries and I both got soaked. We had heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and a some wind, but it did not last long. I wonder what all those LSU tail gaters did when the rain hit!
