According to the Dvorak scale and the T number of 6.0 then Fabian should be a Cat 4 right?

it's a strong cat 3 now
A ragged eye this morning on satellite would sugest that fabian has stopped intensifying only temporarily and is holding it's own early this morning. Hurricanes like these will fluctuate like this because they are just so powerful and occasionally you will notice the eyewall replacement cycle where the original eyewall collapses around the eye and a new eyewall will form around the center. That is certainly a possibility in this case with Fabian because the eye is beginning to reappear on satellite once again. Once the eye reappears more clearly on satellite later this morning or this afternoon, Fabian should intensify into a category 4 hurricane with 140 mph winds in the next day or so. The forecast intensity remains at 140 mph from tomorrow right through day 5. There is no reason why this thing won't strengthen further given the low shearing profiles aloft and very warm sea surface temperatures of about 28 c.
