Question for the experts

Typically, when a hurricane becomes elongated looking, doesn't that usually mean that it will begin to move in that direction? Looking at the wv loop, it appears that Fabian has become a little elongated toward the wsw. Maybe I'm just seeing things tho. Granted, this isn't a long loop, it does appear that the storm is somewhat "stretched" lol. Here's the link:

Not in this case ... it would totally contradict the mean flow.
