Anytime you can get that much rain in this cycle is a time to be grateful for sure. Some areas of east Texas did get up to 5", they did mention in the forecast it would depend on training. I think the NWS Fort Worth did an oustanding job forecasting this event. It pretty much unfolded just as predicted. Of course I would love to have seen some snow, but I'll take my 3 inches of rain and be real happy about. Especially the heavy amounts of rain around Lake Lavon and Lake Cooper. Hopefully will be enough to bring us down to stage 2 drought. It would be lovely to get a couple more of these type storms.

My rain gauge shows just shy of 4" which is almost spot on with the NWS map. So far Lake Lavon has risen about 1'. Needs to go much higher.

It's hard to differentiate between drizzle and flurries at night! If there were light snow going on my bet at this hour would be around Decatur. Dew points are very low compared to the temps. Will need heavier precip to bring down sizable flakes.

There's a light outside of my window and was just outside but kind of a light mist or drizzle but very light, no flakes yet.

Still have faith for some flurries that you can actually see. Just gotta give it a little time.

Still showing about the same. I think as the night goes on the little spots of moisture won't be so quick to fizzle out.
