appears to be the next area of concern. Most models Ukmet,Nogaps, and Gfs have a closed low over the SE Gulf within 48 hours. As it stands now this system will likely affect the eastern Gulf namely Florida per most models at this time. Given the fact that the upper-air environment is improving and will continue to do so in combination with 85-88 degree water and early September this system may develop fairly quickly. Comments welcome.

well this might offer me a better chance of studying a hurricane for the first time if anything does develop!!! Watching this with interest as convection appears very intense indeed! Seems to be developing quciker than Grace at any rate.

Developing quicker than Grace and with much more form, this one may surprise us all!!
