Killeen, Tx (southern portion of FW area forecast) is reporting light snow. It's on the doorstep of Waco but since Wacowx isn't there anymore hard to know what falls.

Dallas/Fort Worth NWS Update

DETERMINING PRECIPITATION TYPES CONTINUE TO BE VERY DIFFICULT
THIS AFTERNOON AND HAVE FOLLOWED A BLEND OF THE WRF/SREF/AND NAM
MODELS FOR THE SHORT TERM FORECAST. WE HAVE EXPANDED THE WINTER WX
ADVISORY TO INCLUDE AREAS DOWN TO A
RANGER...WEATHERFORD...DENTON... MCKINNEY...PARIS LINE FOR NOW
WHERE OUR HIGHEST CONFIDENCE EXISTS FOR 1-2 INCHES OF SLEET OR
SNOW ACCUMULATION. GROUND TEMPERATURES REMAIN WELL ABOVE FREEZING
AND WE THINK THE MAIN IMPACTS SOUTH OF THE ADVISORY AREA WILL BE
GRASSY AREAS AND ELEVATED SURFACES SUCH AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.
THE EVOLUTION OF THE SYSTEM AND ENVIRONMENT WILL CONTINUE TO BE
EVALUATED THIS EVENING WITH POSSIBLE MODIFICATIONS TO THE CURRENT
ADVISORY. WE WILL ISSUE A SPECIAL WX STATEMENT TO INCLUDE AREAS
FROM COMANCHE AND STEPHENVILLE...TO DFW...TO SULPHUR SPRINGS FOR
MORE MINOR ACCUMULATIONS AND POTENTIAL FOR A FEW PROBLEMS TOWARD
MORNING. AGAIN...THE SCENARIO AND ADVISORY AREA WILL BE RE-
EVALUATED TONIGHT.

Gatesville, just west of Waco is reporting light snow. Hamilton, far SW region of DFW is as well.

This is about an hourish away from Cleburne heading that way.

Meridian near Lake Whitney west of Hillsboro is reporting light snow. Looks like most of the stuff west of I-35 is pretty much snow. Heading north/northeast

Unless I am seeing the radar wrong, it looks like the rain over the hill country is turning back to mix of precipitation.

850s 0c is retreating to Pecos, DFW, Shreveport line and north. Junction is reporting freezing rain which means anything that falls is either that or rain in hill country if temp profiles are correct. Beyond that just rain.

A couple of people in Magnolia (NW of Houston) called me to report sleet? if that's accurate, sure wasn't expecting that around here.

Too late to back out now, either win or bust . I don't see any reason to change. The stuff mentioned in SE Texas sure was a surprise, was not expecting it at all. The value of having live updates from posters or no would would ever know!
