Same here, but I just remember it's a dog, and all dogs are great! :D

Just once, I would love to see a Boston Terrier win their group and Best in Show. At the very least their Non-sporting group. This year's Boston had similar markings to my dog Rudy's.

I'm excited to see a Dalmation and a German Sheppard in the finals.

I knew when Beckham (the black cocker that won sporting last year) didn't get group that the Peek would win. I think Beckham was the only other dog that had the "pull" to beat out the Peek.

You do all realize that it is VERY political in the dog ring, right?

My good friend is a breeder/owner/handler of Chi's - they don't have advertising/backing so they know they will never win group at Westminster, but she says it is fun to go anyway. (Brig (their Chi) has lots of points so he is invited every year)

I don't follow the dog shows, but I figured as much on the political. It is much too large of a show with way too much revenue available for it not to be imo. Actually sitting here watching the rerun from the last night. The one and only time I ever showed a dog was when I was 13 visiting my Aunt and Uncle in CA and I took their Bedlington Terrier to 2nd place at the local dog show.

Yeah, he was a cutey though, but I do like seeing an everyday common family dog win, especially the big ones.

My favorite breed is the German Shepherd.

I'm also sympathetic towards the American Pit-Bull Terrier.

I do hope that at some time, an American Pit bull Terrier wins the group if not the whole show. They've received such a bad rap by too many bad owner a$$holes. There's no such thing as a bad dog, just a bad owner.

Actually, working in Philadelphia now along the Delaware River, there's lots of joggers and people walking or running with their dogs. Some of them are pit bulls. It always gives me a smile

Thanks for those wonderful pictures HurricaneBill! They both look so sweet and lovable.

I love German Shepherds - gorgeous dogs. The Pit-Bull breed has gotten a bad rep because of bad owners. My sister has one, Mia is 7. She thinks she's a lap dog and is in fact frightened of the toy poodles next door. When Mia is afraid, she rolls on her back with all four in the air lol. She has never bitten anyone, as far as I know never growled at anyone either. My sister had a cat, Mena was 14 when they got Mia. Mia and Mena were best friends and Mia still mourns Mena.

I was shocked to learn the the Golden Retriever has never won best in show.

Only watch the Dog Show to see the working class so we can see the Great Pyreness. My wife and I currently own one that we adopted a year ago next Monday.

The Great Pyrenees is the dog from the cartoon Belle and Sebastien.
