I looked everywhere and couldn't find a map on our developing system in the nw carribean

Well I can definately see a circulation tonight on the IR loop. It looks to be heading due north as well. From the direction it's currently heading and the forecast models, this looks to be Florida's storm and not a central or western gulf coast threat.

I can't find a Caribbean track map either. Must be 'cause i'm on Dial up :roll:

The convection decreased in the last few hours, but that doesn't mean it won't develop.
The National Hurricane Center doesn't seem to be downplaying the area.

why does everybody forget about or dismiss the panhandle of Florida when talking about storms? There is a good part of Florida in the north central gulf coast.......

Who's dismissing Florida? We are all saying it will probably affect Florida.
IMO, the panhandle of FL is in the N Eastern Gulf Coast, not the Central Gulf Coast.

Bonnie is right. Actually Bonnie and I are Central Gulf Coast. lol. If you want that bad weather and rain alicia, you are welcome to have it. ;)

When saying Florida, that means (in this case) the western side of the state; which is the eastern Gulf of Mexico and the northeastern Gulf of Mexico coast, which is of course the Florida panhandle.
