Re: Thanks

Wxman57, that reminds me. Can one register for McIDAS? I went to the home site and registered there but apparently according to the site I needed certain applications to run McIDAS? Can you assist?

McIDAS
SF - I'll ask my programmer what's required. Is this the page you went to:
http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/mug/mug.html
You might ask the webmaster there, too.
Of course, you also need a satellite receiving station too to get the imagery.

Yep...but I don't have a satellite receiving station, so I guess that's out!.

Oh, well. Guess I'll have to depend on the satellite links I have.

I looked at the http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/gall ... 20.1km.jpg link and dang that's some sweet stuff!
Good thing I have DSL so it downloads fast!

Unfortunately
Unfortunately, they won't teach me all I need to know to create beautiful BIG and COLORED satellite imagery at work because they're afraid I'd use up all the hard disk space on the server creating 1600x1200 pixel full color 1/2K resolution images. Ha! Like I'd do that! -- I'd leave a few MB left on the server for their stuff.
