635 PM CDT WED MAY 30 2012

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN FOARD AND NORTHWESTERN KNOX COUNTIES...

AT 628 PM CDT...STORM SPOTTERS AND NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR
OBSERVED A RAIN-WRAPPED TORNADO... APPROXIMATELY 8 MILES NORTHWEST
OF TRUSCOTT. THE STORM IS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

THIS TORNADIC THUNDERSTORM WILL REMAIN OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF
FOARD AND NORTHWESTERN KNOX COUNTIES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THE TORNADO WILL BE HIDDEN BY RAIN AND YOU MAY NOT SEE IT. DO NOT
WAIT. TAKE COVER NOW.

The Foard county Tx area tornado supercell looks scary. I'm interested to see what comes out of that region when surveys are done. Upper winds over the couplet had EF3+ style speeds. Good thing it's an area sparsely populated.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
KNOX COUNTY IN NORTHERN TEXAS...

* UNTIL 730 PM CDT

* AT 637 PM CDT...STORM SPOTTERS REPORTED A LARGE TORNADO WAS
LOCATED 9 MILES NORTHWEST OF TRUSCOTT. THE TORNADO WAS MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH. RESIDENTS NEAR TRUSCOTT AND NORTH OF BENJAMIN
SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
BENJAMIN...GILLILAND AND TRUSCOTT.

TORNADO WAS 7 MILES WEST OF IVIE RESERVOIR NEAR CONCHO PARK
MARINA...OR 7 MILES NORTHEAST OF PAINT ROCK...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT
20 MPH. SOME ROADS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM INCLUDE RANCH ROAD 2134
AND RANCH ROAD 1929.

IN ADDITION TO DANGEROUS TORNADIC WINDS...OTHER HAZARDS INCLUDE...
LARGE DAMAGING HAIL UP TO GOLF BALL SIZE.
DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.

Per TWC: spotter report says truscott tornado is 3/4 mile wide with softball hail. 180mph inflow, could be an ef4+

Storm SW of Childress heading in the general direction of Guthrie, TX could be the next to watch. Good looking structure forming.
