The closest I can find is Norman Wells.
The record high for June there is 33.5C/92.3F and the all time record is 35C/95F.

Ok, I actually just checked the records and climate entries for that spot and its warmer than I thought it would be overall. Those 35ºC temps. did break records but the margin was just about 3ºC over (that's still impressive)...here I was thinking that the NWT didn't get good stuff like that. tropicana can add those later to the lists.
While checking Fort Good Hope NWT, I wondered what Canada's most northern place is doing as far as temperatures which is Alert Nunavut. I don't think its that far from the North Pole and well within the arctic circle I would imagine. Right now they are hovering just above freezing with lows below that. Its fairly constant without much shift but I did spot a 10ºC day on June 15 2012 and thought that was quite the spike there. I checked and that is a new record for them beating the previous record by 2ºC (old was around 8.2ºC or something). Their climate must be warming up quickly as well by now...

I did however have a couple other questions (for you Scott) and they are: 1. Is the few remaining patches of snow that you hiked to a month ago completely gone now everywhere?
2. Do you smell smoke right now ?
A lot of places in the Northwest Territories were above 30C so the temperature is accurate.

There's always some snow in the mountains, but this year will be pretty barren by late summer for sure.
I know there is always snow in the mountains, I meant where you were in those comparison pictures posted. Lets say that specific elevation level.

also, the temp records they are talking about include ALL temperature records, which includes numerous record lows on Wedensday especially .... but even just taking in the record highs, they are also talking about the record high minimum temperature records that have been set nightly for many many cites which i regularly don't post ( but i do keep a record still haha)

I see. I haven't been up there since the photos were taken, but I would expect that there isn't much snow left. Maybe a stray snowbank or two (if any), but that's probably it.
We haven't had quite the same level of intense heat here in Salt Lake City
