No, this is another fire called the Waldo Canyon fire, affecting Colorado Springs. My father used to live south of the Air Force Base and Garden of the Gods in an apartment complex with a great view of both. He told me he used to hike Waldo Canyon all the time. I feel so bad for all of those people in that fire and the others. It's such a beautiful area there with Pike's Peak. I hope that some storms that do develop start to bring some rain and not just lightning.

Kathy - I hope your friend's home will be alright.

She told me that they are still in pre-evac mode. The AFA fire is out. Over 347 home have been lost. Their weather was milder today and she thinks that helped a lot.

Yes, I read that the weather conditions, especially the wind, helped out with containing this fire. Thank God!
