My jaw dropped to the floor when i saw this, this is incomprehensible! I know this probably has happened before (1930s, 1988, etc.) but it is still shocking. So add 12 days of 100ºF+ temps. that have already happened to that 10-day forecast and it truly becomes mind-boggling. That forecast was captured 5 days ago and there is an additional 4-5 days around 100ºF after. The models all confirm this exactly with strong 500 mb high pressure "permanently" staying over the plains. I wonder how the people and weathermen like it; I wish I could be there to experience it. After this upcoming 10-days, it will look like the 1930s down there...
