Has an outside chance of making it to the Epac alive... Now that would be something.

I am noticing more dry air on the south side again which is getting entrained into the CDO...joy...

On a brighter note: SSD floaters are now offering animated GIFs :P

Given the way the pressure suddenly dropped on the last run of recon and we suddenly got much higher winds, I wouldn't be surprised if its been forming an eyewall in the last hour or so.

I can see more convection around the COC firing....probably right KWT....forming an eyewall....glad they included more of the Yucatan in the warning area. I was beginning to think they werent going to do it...

Very excited about the gifs too! Sure looks to be continuing the NW motion. I think it was wise to hoist hurricane warnings for Cozumel. Would not be surprised to see hurricane force gusts there tonight.

Here is the long range radar 400km loop from Belize that shows the eye how is moving. Maybe a touch more to the West to WestNorthwest at last frames?

Could be, or it could just as easily be an optical illusion as the system gets closer to the radar and we 'see' more of the actual inner structure of the system.

looks like the eyewall is thickening on the last few radar images, maybe its just because its a bit closer to the radar site, but it certainly looks to be consolidating and wrapping up more now

Kind of weird! On the NHC website under recon, the plan for today lists the same flights as the plan for tomorrow site.

Looks like all that uncertainty paid off.

I cant tell where its moving, but looking at the formation of the eyewall structure is very interesting. In the most recent frame it loops around a very small one.
