It ain't over for Florence yet.
Global models have it regenerating in the western Atlantic - and recurving near Bermuda... but it ain't over, at least.
Well, the 0z GFS had that scenario anyway - 12z does not. Poor Flo.

I'm guessing that nothing much will form in the carribean or gulf during peak season, which breaks alot of forecasts in this thread. My prime area for developements are the Bahamas and the Central Atlantic.

I'm already wrong regarding "Chris."
I'm also wrong regarding Florence.
I'm the same dunce who in 2005 ... yes, 2005 ... thought that Franklin would be "the" storm. Do not take me to the casino. I did not pass Go, nor did I collect $200.

If the 18zGFS is right, exTD7 could still grab it though I do agree with you that I think Helene will be huge, but im not sure about Isaac

Well, the seventh storm hasn't formed yet, and there definitely is a chance for two major hurricanes this season. One of them will be an early alphabet storm I think, so Gordon, Helene, and Isaac are still on my vibes.

Well, we were certainly wrong about Florence and Helene becoming major hurricanes.
Someone thought Florence would be a Category 4 hurricane affecting several landmasses, but it was the opposite case. She began to poof after reaching 60 mph.
She still was fun to track, though, because she was only expected to reach 45 mph. Also, Helene barely made it to tropical storm strength, but she was a well-behaved storm, because she did not strengthen before landfall.

Looks like Isaac will be the big one after all. It's really starting to look like it.

I have vibes on that name too! Michael is just a powerful name in general, and I just think that if any name after Isaac is gonna be big, it would be Michael.
