AT 215 PM...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM HENRI WAS LOCATED ABOUT 70 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CEDAR KEY FLORIDA. VISIBLE SATELLITE IMAGERY INDICATES HENRI IS BECOMING BETTER ORGANIZED. A BUOY JUST WEST OF THE CENTER REPORTED A WIND GUST TO 73 MPH. LATEST DOPPLER RADAR COMPOSITE FROM TALLAHASSEE AND TAMPA INDICATES HENRI IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 8 MPH. ACROSS EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS...THE STRONGEST STORMS ARE LOCATED ALONG THE EAST COAST SEA BREEZE BOUNDARY...FROM VOLUSIA COUNTY SOUTH ALONG AND JUST OFFSHORE THE SPACE AND TREASURE COASTS. MOVEMENT IS TOWARD THE NORTH NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
The 2:00 PM EDT National Hurricane Center advisory indicates that Tropical Depression Henri as been meandering/is now nearly stationary.

Thank you for that update.. My question is this.. If I remember during Gabrielle, and Josephine of 96.. The NHC issued watches for TS on the Atlantic Coast before it came on shore.. then upgraded them to warnings when the storm cut across Central Florida...
Does anyone know why there are no watches on the Atlantic coast..? Also the SPC may wanna consider a tornado watch cause according to the fellow posters as well as NWS MLB.. Henri may be blowing up if a wind gust in the 70's was just reported...
