Gov. Rick Scott declared a state of emergency to make sure local and state agencies would be ready. The governor said during a media briefing that delegates were being told on how to stay safe during a storm, and officials were ready for storm surge, bridge closures and other problems that could arise

Still no fresh convection here at all, I would have expected at least a little popcorning or something after it made it back to water.

Not sure what you're looking at, but there is definitely a bit more convection closer to the center than there was. The eastern bands are weakening in terms of strength of convection, but if you look at the latest 3 or 4 satellite frames at around 21N 74.7W, there is some convection that looks to be building a bit, which is very near the center and which has been lacking for a long time.

Agreed Aric! TY looks like its moving NW....Still doesn't look to good, but trying to get its act together...in fact, most models didn't really strengthen it until towards the keys.

The LLC is coming off the north coast just east of Banes. Hope Isaac does stay close to the coast and weak but we will see in a few hours.

I don't have a link for that. It was previously stated that Isaac was racing westward when in fact he is moving NW

May be moving NW, but it is right on the NHC track.

Look at the satellite map and turn on the forecast points, IMO Isaac is between points and maybe a little faster than forecasted. No wobble I can see.

What is the likely hood of the trough that is in front of Isaac end up being swallowed up by Isaac, and if so what kind of effect would that have on Isaac?

IMO, this loop tells it all...this thing is headed northwest just offshore of eastern Cuba with convection quickly ramping up on the north and northeast side and even on the west side of the circulation. Look out!!
