Crack of blue sky with sun shining down opening-up above the house. This means the layer above the surface deck is dry.

still storming and pouring here. Got power back early this morning, have since lost it again 3 times. Have a young coconut palm (about 6 foot) that now has water up to its fronds and our shed has been breeched. We are surrounded by water, seeing waves on our pond. Rain, rain, go away, come again another day!
live in the acreage, and now have water front and back and side property. Anyone buying?

yeah, it has been bad here. Just rain most of yesterday and ever since early evening, storms have been coming in waves that do not want to stop for more than around 20 minutes at a time. When Ipower is stable will upload some pics.

Anyone know where I can find reports of strongest reported winds in SE FL from Issac?

We're also out in the acreage (west of West Palm Beach). and it has been pouring NONSTOP almost all night and all day. My husband emptied the rain gage at 10:00 this morning & called me about 1/2 hour ago & said it rained 2 1/2 inches since then. I'm sure we're over 10 inches since yesterday. Canals all around the area are merging in with back yards & streets and fish are swimming everywhere.
Does anyone know where they post rainfall totals? I looked on some of the websites & couldn't find anything.

all I know is from what I have heard they are under what we personally gotten out here. I had heard around 10 inches. We have had over 14 and it is still coming. Did you hear they are using 4 wheel drive brush trucks to rescue some people out here? Our shed has over 2 inches in it which is on a built up concrete pad and one room in the house has it coming through the junction of the outside wall and floor.

My husband's concerned that I wont be able to get home. He suggested parking at the Publix out there and he'll pick me up (in his bigger truck) but I bet they're flooded too. I have a feeling that this will be the norm for anyone working east & living west.
The radar looks like it's going to continue to pour out there for another 3 hours at least and it just started pouring again in WPB.

yeah, I don't think we have had more than a 20 minute break from the rain. It just keeps on coming! Hope you are able to get home ok. This is worse than after Francis and Jeanne in 2004 regarding the flooding. Part of it is the ground was already saturated because of the recent rains we had.

Was thinking about that this morning. My front yard isn't as bad (partly because a swell in my driveway has been fixed), but my back yard has the most water I've ever seen. And it is still raining!!!!

Gary Coronado Boynton Beach from Palm Beach Post
082712 (Richard Graulich/The Palm Beach Post) Royal Palm Beach - Rick Fignar looks at flooding from Tropical Storm Isaac from a canal that overflowed in his back yard in Royal Palm Beach Monday. Fignar says he has never seen the water come this high, which was up to the fence surrounding his pool.

That thing behind the fence is a trailer

there is a bridge under there that was built above the water mark after Hurricane Francis and Jeanne from our pond so it wouldn't go under water. He felt the odds of ever having that much water again were slim!

ooops forgot that picture! Will upload it later.
