It was moving almost due north earlier this afternoon, now it's moving more west than anything else. It evens out to be a general NW direction, I don't think this gets to southwest Louisiana or Texas until after landfall. IMO landfall will be between Grand Isle and Morgan City.

Thanks, Rock. Guess I'd better get a few zzz's and be up early. Fingers crossed that the drift isn't too far west, but sorry for those in between.

Last three recon fixes are almost due west...not a wobble...what is going on? If it keeps this up, people will never trust the NHC again...Big New Orleans hype then Euro comes in to shows who is boss...I am just kidding...stay with the NHC forecast...just interesting...

Rock, with this westward movement that is becoming consistent what will this do in terms of landfall? I've heard small changes this close to landfall make big differences so now I'm wondering what those are. LOL

Ewwe, this is my post #666. LOL

you get me another west fix and this is no jog or wobble IMO....this is the onset for the west drift we saw on many model runs but this is way off the coast!!

I need RECON to get me another west fix to be sure....or even south of west fix as SG told me earlier....this has slowed to a crawl and look more and more to me that it missed the weakness it was shooting for....probably because it has been struggling with the dry air...
