Re: ATL: ISAAC - Tropical Storm - Discussion
Here is my concern now (forgive the crude graphic)

This represents about a 14-hour slice of time. The average motion (remember this is what all the pros harp on; use average motion) is roughly 296 degrees (assuming the next vortex is close to where I placed the dot).
That's quite a large sample size. And 296 isn't gonna get it done. In fact, 296 from here on out would take it to... Port Arthur, TEXAS. Not that I am really expecting this to happen, but it is an interesting observation.

Rock, wouldn't it be crazy if all the people who had given up on this storm in Texas awoke to a storm 200 miles away and headed their direction? FWIW, Dr. Neil was very concerned at 6 and 10 PM even when the storm looked to be heading almost due north. The man knows his storms, maybe he was on to something?

Bite your tongue.

I should have been asleep a long time ago, but I might as well stay up for the new Advisory now. Surely this is just a big wobble...

This buoy -closest to the center- is gone mad... reporting 1000 knots winds
and a much more realistic pressure of 995.9 mb.
