Issac's center is still east of Pascagoula, MS longitudinally IMO. It still has over 100 latitude miles to make it 90 or so miles north. Very possible New Orleans landfall still.

Anybody remember Star Trek III? Anybody remember the scene where Kirk steals the Enterprise and Styles gets ready to go after him in the brand-new Excelsior and its new shiny transwarp drive? Anybody remember how that went?

That's the mental picture I have every time I hear somebody say 'it's gonna explode any time now' about Isaac. :lol:

someone posted this earlier and I cant seem to reason with the west wind shift and the 192kt wind gust :lol:
take a look at the 3:15 am reading

true but I would think a Katrina Like nnw turn would be needed? I now its NW mvt but failed to check the heading in recon..Issac at 4am is at 88.1 which is almost due south of Mobile ,al

Still half asleep but looked at latest sat loops, and is the coc actually trying to tuck in the deepest convection and wrap up now. Looks like it took a big w/wsw jog. Starting to look really good but couldd be that I'm just really tired. Wish the update was at 6 so all this could be in discussion.

I'm at work on my phone so I don't have any loops available, but it's definitely got a more 'pinwheel' look to it. Still seems to be battling dry air on its N/NW side though.

This storm almost looks stationary or its wobbled West.... Interesting and surprised it wasnt a hurricane this AM.

Took a little wobble west and stalled again. Don't like these slow downs one bit, a stationary system over the coast would increase storm surge and flood damage. Central pressure has been down to 977 Mb but lots of dry air in the northern quadrants.
